Pastor’s Love Letter

Father’s Day, June 21, is a special day to honor our dads and as with everyday, to be Godly dads for our children.

The Psalmist, as he spoke of passing on the wonderful truths of God’s Word, gave us this charge in Psalm 78:4, 7,

    • “We must …tell a future generation the praises of the Lord, His might, and the wonderful works He has performed.
So that they might put their confidence in God and not forget God’s works, but keep His commandments”.

Dads, the greatest legacy you can pass on to your children will be your love for Christ, His Word, and His church.  Don’t let them (or Him) down!

As was shared on Mother’s Day from the song by Phillips Craig & Dean,

Lord, I want to be just like You
‘Cause he wants to be just like me
I want to be a holy example
For his innocent eyes to see
Help me be a living Bible, Lord
That my little boy (girl) can read
I want to be just like You
‘Cause he wants to be like me.

Let’s all strive to be more like Jesus and pass on a legacy of love and devotion that is God honoring.

                 Because He deserves it,
                           Pastor Mike
